The code on this site is used and created by you, the community. Have a look at the guidelines page to get started.
If you want to edit content on this site you will need a user account and earn the right to do so. Using, creating and editing content will gain you points. The more points you have the more permissions you have on the site.
To keep the content high, not all contribution options are available to a user from the start. As you get familiar with the site you will earn points and get more permissions. The permissions that are available are:

While most contributions are great, user actions are monitored by our moderators to prevent misuse. In case of misuse, edits will be reverted and any points gained may be lost. In extreme cases an user account may be (permanently) banned. The moderation tools are currently available only to a selected group of users, but eventually top contributors will also get access to these tools.
The point rewards and permissions values are still being balanced, these values can and will change. At the moment there is a large precedence to create many small tasks and minor changes. Later the emphasis will be on improving tasks and rewarding contributors based on actual usage of a method or task.
